In the village of Dhuvjan in Gjirokastra, Koço Bozhori was born, historian, Byzantologist, old scientific collaborator. He completed his secondary education in Ioannina. Koço Bozhori participated in the anti-fascist movement in Greece and after returning to Albania in 1943, he engaged in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War. He completed his higher studies in history at the University of Tirana. As a scientific worker at the Institute of History, he devoted himself to the problems of the history of Albania during the Middle Ages, for which he wrote a number of scholarly articles. He contributed especially with the publication of Byzantine documents on the history of the Albanian people in the Early Middle Ages. Published the volume “Lufta shqiptaro-turke në shek. XV, burime bizantine” (“The Albanian-Turkish war in the 15th century, Byzantine sources”) (Tirana, 1967). He passed away in 1999. (In the photo: Bozhori edition, year 1967.)
