On April 25, 1953 , Kadri Zeka (1953-1982), lawyer and publicist, martyr of the movement for freedom and independence of Kosova, was born in Poliçkë, Dardani. He completed his higher studies at the University of Prishtina (1978), in the field of law. He worked as a journalist at Radio Prishtina, where he expressed his ideas about freedoms and human rights. To escape the persecution of the Serbian Secret Service (UDB), due to his active participation in the events of March 1981, he emigrated to Germany, where he continued his patriotic activities.
