On April 6, 2016, Captain Floran Deliu and Lieutenant Donald Hoxha, Martyrs of the Homeland, lost their lives during a training mission in the lake of Shkodra. The two pilots fell in the line of duty due to the crash of the EC-145 helicopter, with which they were carrying out a training flight in Grizhë of the Malësi e Madhe. They excelled in their professionalism, devotion, and passion, for which they were respected and appreciated and for which they will be remembered in the future. The success story of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania is written with the sacrifices, dedication and selflessness of pilots and skilled soldiers.
