The agreement for the establishment of the Albanian National Bank entered into force. After the reaffirmation of Albania’s Independence by international acts in 1921, there were many discussions about the establishment of a national bank, which became a reality with the agreement concluded by Mufid Libohova on behalf of the Albanian Government and Mario Alberti on behalf of an Italian financial group. The administrative center of the National Bank of Albania would be the city of Durrës, while the Administrative Committee would have its center in Rome. The legal act was agreed on March 11, 1925, but it took legal force only after the signature of the president of the Republic, Ahmet Zogu. (In the photo: Decree of March 15, 1925.)
