The first issue of the newspaper “Rilindja” (“The Renaissance”) came out . Together with “Rilindja” also comes out “Jedinstvo” in the Serbo-Croatian language; both, as organs of the National Liberation Front. The “Rilindja” (“The Renaissance”) came out on only four pages, hand-engraved in lead letters. The authors of the articles of the first issue, which was worked on for 72 hours in the absence of letters in the Albanian language, were also the collaborators of the “Lirija-Slloboda” notebook – an illegal partisan notebook of the operative headquarters for “Kosmet”. The main article of this issue was written by Fadil Hoxha, commander of the operative staff of “Kosmet”. The first issue was printed at “Juro Jakšić” street number 17, in Prizren, and appeared once a week until 1948. On January 23, 1946, “Rilindja” started undertaking actions against illiteracy, opening courses and spreading campaigns against women’s lack of education.
