In Boston, United States, one of the most prominent figures of the Albanian National Renaissance, Parashqevi Qiriazi, published the first issue of the biweekly political, historical, linguistic, literary, pedagogical and cultural magazine “The Morning Star”. It dealt with problems of culture and national education; devoted entire pages to the heroes and the military and patriotic traditions of the Albanian people; raised the voice against the massacres of the warring armies in the Albanian territory during the First World War; reflected the programs and efforts of the Albanian delegations for the protection of the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Albania at the Peace Conference in Paris (1919-1920), etc. (In the photo: Front page of the magazine “The Morning Star”.)
