Xhavit Ahmeti, chemist, university professor, died in a traffic accident. He was born in Prëlepnica, Gjilan, in 1952. He completed his primary school in his birthplace, while he attended Normal School in Gjilan. In 1975, he studied chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematical-Natural Sciences of the University of Pristina. He defended his post-graduate studies and his dissertation thesis at the Faculty of Mathematical-Natural Sciences of the University of Zagreb (1985). He was appointed assistant professor of chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences of the University of Pristina (1975) and then assistant professor and associate professor. He published papers in scientific journals and participated with papers in scientific meetings, projects, etc. He is the co-author of the university text “Kimia Fizike Eksperimentale” (“Experimental physical chemistry”).
