The “Sami Frashëri” Normal School in Pristina (1941–1944), a school for teacher training, was established to meet the significant need for educators in Albanian schools in Kosovo. The first director was Rexhep Krasniqi. During the 1943–1944 school year, the school had 446 students (56 girls) from Kosovo, Montenegro, and Macedonia (North Macedonia). The school had eight grades. The curriculum included subjects such as Albanian language, Latin, Italian, German, history, geography, mathematics, natural sciences, pedagogy, agriculture, moral education, didactics, music, and so on.
