The establishment of the National Bank of Albania.

Lexo ngjarje:

After the reaffirmation of Albania’s Independence by international acts in 1921, there were many discussions about the establishment of a national bank again. The National Bank of Albania was founded based on the agreement concluded by Mufid Libohova on behalf of the Albanian Government and Mario Alberti on behalf of an Italian financial group. The administrative center of the National Bank of Albania was the city of Durres, while the Administrative Committee had its center in Rome. At the first meeting for the establishment of the National Bank of Albania, in the presence of shareholders as well as Albanian, Italian, and Yugoslav dignitaries, the election of the Administrative Council of the National Bank of Albania was also carried out. The bank was founded on September 2, 1925, and in February 1926, it put the first Albanian national currency into circulation.
