Justin Godart was born, French political personality with progressive ideas, deputy and minister in the government of France during World War I, friend of Albania, whose rights he defended in the international arena. He visited Albania several times and in different periods: first in 1921, after he had raised his voice in support of the national rights of the Albanians, taken under foot by the Great Powers that won World War I and by the neighboring Balkan states, and finally , in 1950, when he was elected honorary president of the France-Albania friendship association. He wrote two books about Albania: ” L’Albanie en 1921″ (“Albania in 1921”) and “L’Albanie en 1922” (“Albania in 1922”), both published in Paris in 1922, in which he expressed his faith in the activity of the democratic forces of the Albanian people. After he passed away, he left the book “Albania in 1950” unfinished. He passed away in 1956. He was decorated with the “Order of Freedom” Class I. (In the photo: Zhysten Godar)
