In the village of Pezë, near Tirana, the "First National Liberation Conference" (also known as the Pezë Conference) was convened, initiated by the Communist Party of Albania. This conference played a crucial role in organizing the national liberation movement against the Axis powers during World War II, bringing together various anti-fascist groups and establishing a united front for the struggle for Albania's independence.
From September 16 to 20, 1943, the "Second League of Prizren" was convened (1943–1944), a political and military organization established in Kosovo. Its purpose was to fight for the preservation of the territorial integrity of Albanian ethnic lands from the threat of fragmentation and against the entry of Chetnik formations and partisan units from Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia into Kosovo.
Llambro Andoni fell heroically during the battles against the German Nazis near Morini, on the Kukës-Prizren road. He was a participant in the National Liberation War and is honored as a People's Hero.

He has been the chairman of the Socialist Party of Albania since its founding in 1991 and has been a deputy in all legislatures since 1991. He is also a professor.
Mine Peza (1875–1942), a participant in the antifascist movement and the first female martyr of the National Anti-Fascist Liberation War in Tirana, was severely wounded and passed away. She is remembered as a Heroine of the People.
