In Vlorë, Alfred Nini, a painter, was born. Artist Alfred Nini is part of the group of Albanian landscape painters. He completed his studies at the AJM High School (1983) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana (1991). In 1996, he opened the non-public gallery “NINI” in Vlorë, which was an important center for promoting and encouraging artistic creativity and quality for artists. From 1993 to 2020, Nini has been a teacher at the art school in Vlorë and the European University of Tirana. Painter Alfred Nini has a rich body of work. He is a sensitive realist painter, aiming to discover the beauties of the Albanian landscape through a restrained color palette and serene light.
