Shpëtim Robaj

Shpëtim Robaj, doctor, anesthesiologist, martyr, was born in Prizren. He completed his primary and secondary education in Prishtina, while he completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Prishtina (1982). He first worked at the Health House in Drenas. He continued his specialization in anesthesiology with resuscitation at the University of Zagreb, Rijeka and Skopje. He was appointed assistant for the subject of surgery at the Faculty of Medicine in Pristina. In 1991, together with the Albanian cadre, he was dismissed from work. He started working at the private polyclinic “Galaksia“, continuing exercises with students at the Faculty of Medicine. After the beginning of the war in Kosovo, Shpëtim Robaj was among the first volunteers from the ranks of specialist doctors, who operated in war zones, helping the civilian population and the soldiers of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He was the main organizer of the teams of specialists from Pristina, who went to Drenica and other war zones. He was killed on the road between Abria and Likoci in the municipality of Skenderaj, in 1998. (In the photo: Shpëtim Robaj)
