Kin Dushi, journalist, publicist and writer, was born in Shirokë in Shkodra. He attended high school in Tirana. He participated in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War in the ranks of Berat guerilla units and Skrapar detachments. He was arrested and interned in the Pristina concentration camp (1944). He described the life spent in exile in his first novel “Në gojën e ujkut” (1951). He worked in the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit” as a special correspondent (1950-1960); then in the State Estrada and the magazine “Ylli” (1960-1967). In his publicism, he mastered literary-publicistic writings, especially description. He summarized some of them in the book: “Kronika e vendit tim: tregime dhe përshkrim ” (1961). His journalistic activity is generally characterized by a critical look at reality, the discovery of flaws and social wounds. As a writer, he published the novel “Një emër mes yjeve ” (A name among the stars) (1964) and the comedy “Banorët e shkallës nr. 6” (The residents of building no.6) (1958). In 1967, he was arrested on the charge “For agitation and propaganda” and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Shortly after he was released from prison, he became blind. He passed away in 1994.
