March 8 , International Women’s Day, is a global day that celebrates women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements. The day also marks a call to action to accelerate the gender equality. This day is a time to reflect on and celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. This day is associated with important activities around the world. Every year, it’s a year of inspiration for change.
