Qerim Sadiku, martyr of the Catholic Church, was born in Vuthaj, Shkodra. Married to Marije Vata in September 1944, the only son they had, whom they named Gaspër, was born 6 months after his arrest and Qerim never saw him. He was arrested and imprisoned in Shkodër, on December 3, 1945. He was sentenced to death on February 22, 1946. He was shot in Shkodër, at 5 o’clock in the morning, in March 1946, and was left there together with Father Danjel Dajani, Father Giovanni Fausti, Father John Shllaku and others.
