The first issue of the magazine “Shqipëria e re”( “New Albania”)(1947-1991), a bimonthly illustrated political, economic, social and cultural magazine, was published. It was published simultaneously in the Albanian language and in several foreign languages (French, English, Russian, Italian, Spanish, German, Arabic). The first issue came out in French. In its pages, information, reports, travel impressions, historical, cultural and artistic curiosities of the centuries-old civilization of the Albanian people were given in various forms. The themes and contents of its writings responded to the demands of foreign readers and aimed to increase their level of knowledge about Albania. It continued until 1991.
