In Magara, Egypt, the first issue of the newspaper “Shqipëria” (“Albania”), a political, social, cultural and literary newspaper (partially in French and Greek) was published. It continued irregularly for 106 issues, until May 5, 1907. It was directed by Milo Duçi. With the motto “Protect the rights of the Albanian nation”, the newspaper propagated the idea of the war for independence and supported the patriotic forces of freedom. They collaborated with Mihal Grameno, Hilë Mosi, etc. (Pictured: Map of Egypt, 1900s.)
