Burbuqe Berisha, a director and producer, was born in Skopje in 1970. She completed her primary and secondary education in Pristina. She studied film directing at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pristina. She is the author of short documentary films and television films. She also directed theater productions. She worked as a producer at “Kosovafilm” and served as the director of the National Theater of Kosovo. Some of her works include: “Lex-i në qytet” in ten episodes, “Ashensori,” “Kosova 9/11,” “Ëndrra,” “Dimni i shpirtit,” “Viti 2000,” “Gratë,” etc. Among her notable documentary films are “Për Jusuf Gërvallën,” “Universiteti nëpër vite,” “Harmonika,” “Të rritur në rrugë,” etc. She has produced several theater performances, including “Një çaj me Hillary-n,” “Revolveri,” “Darka private,” etc. She passed away in Pristina in 2021.
