He completed his primary and secondary education at the Franciscan college in Shkodra, while he finished his higher education in Rome. He was ordained on July 12, 1931. He served as a parish priest in Shosh, M\u00ebrtur, Shkod\u00ebr and Iball\u00eb in Puka (1943\u20131945). He was arrested twice and spent 20 years in prison.
