The <\/span>Royal<\/span> Military<\/span> Sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> (1928–1933), a <\/span>military<\/span> sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>secondary<\/span> education<\/span> system<\/span>, <\/span>was<\/span> founded<\/span> in Tirana. It <\/span>was<\/span> inaugurated<\/span> by <\/span>decree<\/span>, <\/span>initially<\/span> with<\/span> 170 <\/span>students<\/span> aged<\/span> 11–17. At the end <\/span>of<\/span> the <\/span>four<\/span> years<\/span>, the <\/span>students<\/span> of<\/span> this<\/span> sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> attended<\/span> the Aspirant <\/span>Sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> or <\/span>Apprentice-Officer<\/span> Sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> for<\/span> 9 <\/span>months<\/span> and<\/span> did<\/span> 3 <\/span>months<\/span> of<\/span> training<\/span> with<\/span> troops<\/span>. <\/span>After<\/span> that<\/span>, “<\/span>aspirants<\/span>” <\/span>were<\/span> promoted<\/span>. <\/span>Of<\/span> them, <\/span>only<\/span> the <\/span>best<\/span> were<\/span> kept<\/span> in <\/span>active<\/span> military<\/span> service<\/span>, <\/span>while<\/span> the <\/span>rest<\/span> were<\/span> taken <\/span>into<\/span> reserve<\/span>. The <\/span>Royal<\/span> Military<\/span> Sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> had<\/span> a <\/span>four-year<\/span> program <\/span>of<\/span> a <\/span>general<\/span> nature<\/span> interwoven<\/span> with<\/span> military<\/span> subjects<\/span>. <\/span>With<\/span> the <\/span>decree<\/span> laws<\/span> of<\/span> 1929 <\/span>and<\/span> 1930, <\/span>for<\/span> the <\/span>regulation<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>National<\/span> Army<\/span>, <\/span>this<\/span> sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span>, <\/span>like<\/span> the <\/span>others<\/span>, <\/span>was<\/span> included<\/span> in the <\/span>Land<\/span> Forces<\/span>. <\/span>Until<\/span> 1930, the <\/span>commander<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>Royal<\/span> Military<\/span> Sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> was<\/span> Major <\/span>Banush<\/span> Hamdiu<\/span>. The <\/span>sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> was<\/span> located<\/span> in the “<\/span>Sk<\/span>a<\/span>nderbeg<\/span>” <\/span>barracks<\/span>.
