Perlat Rexhepi, participant <\/span>of<\/span> the <\/span>Anti-Fascist<\/span> National<\/span> Liberation<\/span> War<\/span>, Hero <\/span>of<\/span> the <\/span>People<\/span>, <\/span>was<\/span> born<\/span> in Vajz<\/span>ë<\/span> of<\/span> Vlora. He <\/span>embraced<\/span> communist<\/span> ideas<\/span> from<\/span> the <\/span>desks<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>commercial<\/span> sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> in Vlora <\/span>and<\/span> the <\/span>technical<\/span> sc<\/span>ho<\/span>ol<\/span> in Tirana. He <\/span>worked<\/span> as a <\/span>surveyor<\/span> in Vlora, <\/span>then<\/span> in Shkodër, <\/span>where<\/span> he <\/span>threw<\/span> himself<\/span> into<\/span> revolutionary<\/span> activity<\/span>. <\/span>With<\/span> the <\/span>formation<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>Albanian<\/span> Communist<\/span> Party<\/span>, he <\/span>was<\/span> accepted<\/span> as a <\/span>member<\/span>. As a <\/span>member<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>First<\/span> Regional<\/span> Committee<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>Albanian<\/span> Communist<\/span> Party<\/span> for<\/span> Shkodra (1941), he <\/span>assisted<\/span> in the <\/span>establishment<\/span> and<\/span> direction<\/span> of<\/span> the <\/span>Party’s<\/span> technique<\/span>. He <\/span>participated<\/span> in the <\/span>actions<\/span> and<\/span> assassinations<\/span> of<\/span> guerrilla<\/span> units<\/span> in the <\/span>city<\/span> of<\/span> Shkodra. At the <\/span>beginning<\/span> of<\/span> June<\/span> 1942, he <\/span>was<\/span> wounded<\/span> in an <\/span>attempt<\/span> with<\/span> the <\/span>fascists<\/span>.
