In Vig of <\/span>Mirdi<\/span>t<\/span>a<\/span>, Ahme<\/span>t<\/span> Haxhia, a par<\/span>t<\/span>icipan<\/span>t<\/span> in <\/span>t<\/span>he Na<\/span>t<\/span>ional Libera<\/span>t<\/span>ion An<\/span>t<\/span>i-Fascis<\/span>t<\/span> War and Hero of <\/span>t<\/span>he People, was killed in comba<\/span>t<\/span> agains<\/span>t<\/span> t<\/span>he forces of Gjon Marka Gjoni. He was born in Shkodër in 1920 and joined <\/span>t<\/span>he Communis<\/span>t<\/span> You<\/span>t<\/span>h organiza<\/span>t<\/span>ion in 19<\/span>42, where he dis<\/span>t<\/span>inguished himself as a propagandis<\/span>t<\/span> for <\/span>t<\/span>he ideas of <\/span>t<\/span>he Na<\/span>t<\/span>ional Libera<\/span>t<\/span>ion An<\/span>t<\/span>i-Fascis<\/span>t<\/span> Movemen<\/span>t<\/span>. Haxhia was arres<\/span>t<\/span>ed <\/span>t<\/span>ha<\/span>t<\/span> same year and endured <\/span>t<\/span>or<\/span>t<\/span>ure a<\/span>t<\/span> t<\/span>he hands of <\/span>t<\/span>he fascis<\/span>t<\/span>s. He became a member of <\/span>t<\/span>he Albanian Communis<\/span>t<\/span> Par<\/span>t<\/span>y in <\/span>April 1943 and <\/span>subsequen<\/span>t<\/span>ly<\/span> joined <\/span>t<\/span>he dis<\/span>t<\/span>ric<\/span>t<\/span> commi<\/span>t<\/span>t<\/span>ee of <\/span>t<\/span>he Albanian Communis<\/span>t<\/span> Par<\/span>t<\/span>y for Shkodra. He <\/span>par<\/span>t<\/span>icipa<\/span>t<\/span>ed<\/span> in <\/span>t<\/span>he ac<\/span>t<\/span>ion <\/span>t<\/span>o burn down <\/span>t<\/span>he police headquar<\/span>t<\/span>ers in Shkodër in 1943. As a par<\/span>t<\/span>isan, he fough<\/span>t<\/span> in <\/span>t<\/span>he uni<\/span>t<\/span> opera<\/span>t<\/span>ing<\/span> in <\/span>t<\/span>he areas of <\/span>Mir<\/span>di<\/span>t<\/span>a<\/span>, <\/span>t<\/span>he Highlands of <\/span>Lezha<\/span>, and Vau <\/span>i<\/span> Dejës<\/span> in 1944. He worked <\/span>t<\/span>irelessly <\/span>t<\/span>o organize and educa<\/span>t<\/span>e <\/span>t<\/span>he you<\/span>t<\/span>h in <\/span>t<\/span>he ideals of <\/span>t<\/span>he An<\/span>t<\/span>i-Fascis<\/span>t<\/span> Na<\/span>t<\/span>ional Libera<\/span>t<\/span>ion War and <\/span>t<\/span>o promo<\/span>t<\/span>e <\/span>t<\/span>hese ideals in <\/span>t<\/span>he provinces.
