Kol\u00eb Kaftalli was born in Shkod\u00ebr, actor of the theater “Migjeni”, Shkod\u00ebr and of Albanian cinematography, well-known director of the Albanian scene. He comes from a distinguished family of artists. One of the well-known names of performing arts, especially in the city of Shkodra. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Tirana. After graduation, he started working at the theater “Migjeni” in Shkod\u00ebr. With the troupe of this theater, he performed about 60 dramas and comedies, including some at the National Theater. He has also acted in various roles in 7 artistic films produced by the film studio. In 1978, he made his film debut with a small role in \u201cNusja dhe shtetrrethimi\u201d (“The bride and the curfew”)<\/i>. Among other films can be mentioned: \u201cDit\u00ebt q\u00eb soll\u00ebn pranver\u00ebn\u201d (“The days that brought the spring”)<\/i> (1979), \u201cQortimet e vjesht\u00ebs\u201d (“Autumn scoldings”)<\/i> (1982), \u201cFlaka e maleve\u201d (“The flame of the mountains”)<\/i> (1982), \u201cNjeriu i mir\u00eb\u201d (“The good man”)<\/i> (1982), \u201cT\u00eb paftuarit\u201d (“The uninvited”)<\/i> (1985), \u201cKur hapen dyert e jet\u00ebs\u201d (\u201cWhen the doors of life open”)<\/i> (1986), \u201cNj\u00eb i tret\u00eb\u201d (“A third one”) <\/i>(1988) etc. Part of Kol\u00eb Kaftalli’s artistic career has also been directing, including several dramas staged by him in the city of Shkodra. In the last period of his life, he devoted himself to children’s theater, being the first in the city of Shkodra and in the north of Albania to set up a puppet theater.
