He completed his primary education in Vlor\u00eb and his secondary education at the Tirana High School. He registered at the University of Turin, Faculty of Literature, but was forced to interrupt his studies. Under the pseudonym Liu i Cakut, he developed extensive literary and journalistic activities in magazines such as &#8220;<i>Tomori<\/i>,&#8221; &#8220;Njeriu&#8221; (\u201cMan\u201d) &#8220;Bleta&#8221; (\u201cThe bee\u201d), &#8220;Kultura Islame&#8221; (\u201cIslamic Culture\u201d) &#8220;Vatra&#8221; (\u201cHearth\u201d), &#8220;<i>Drini<\/i>&#8220;, &#8220;Revista Letrare&#8221; (\u201cLiterary Magazine\u201d) etc. After the war, he worked as an editor for the newspaper &#8220;Bashkimi&#8221; (\u201cUnity\u201d) from its inception until 1946 when he was arrested as an &#8220;enemy of the people&#8221;. After being released from prison, he worked as a language teacher in several cities for several years. However, he was soon deemed unfit to pursue such a profession, so he was removed from education and forced to work as a laborer until 1974. His works include &#8220;Albumi i nj\u00eb bojaxhiu&#8221; (\u201cAlbum of a painter\u201d) (stories, Tirana, 1960; Pristina, 1971), &#8220;Gremina e dashunis&#8221; (\u201cThe abyss of love\u201d) (Pristina, 1968),<i> &#8220;Muhabet tiran\u00e7e me Liun e Cakut<\/i>&#8221; (\u201cTirana-like conversation with Liu of Caku\u201d) (Tirana, 1997). One of his translations is &#8220;One thousand and one nights&#8221; (in three volumes, Tirana 1998).
