He was born in Messina, in 1897. From 1941 to January 1945, he directed the orphanage located near the Papal Seminary in Shkod\u00ebr. He tried to board a ship in Durr\u00ebs with other foreign regulars, but on February 18th he was arrested and transferred to Shkodra prison. From there he was sent to Tirana prison. After some twenty days, he was finally released on bail, and from the middle of March of that year, he was repatriated to Italy.
