Reshit \u00c7ollaku, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed in the war against the Italian fascist invaders, in the Pogradec Army. He was born in Pogradec, in 1914. As a student at the Military Academy in Italy, he refused to take the oath of loyalty to the fascist occupier and was arrested and kept prisoner. He returned to his homeland in 1941, where he embraced the program of the Albanian Communist Party for the war against the fascist occupier and their collaborators. He developed extensive anti-fascist activity, especially in the province of Mokra (Pogradec). As commander of the partisan detachment of Mokra (1942), later commander of the partisan battalion of Mokra (1943), he led many important combat actions in the Pogradec district.
