The Historical Museum of Fier was inaugurated. The Fier Historical Museum is one of the most important museum institutions in the Fier region and contains a rich collection of material objects, artifacts, and works of art representing the history, ethnography, and folk culture. The museum consists of a series of halls and pavilions, where all periods of local history development are represented chronologically, starting from prehistory, continuing through Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the National Renaissance, Independence, the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Socialism, ethnoculture, and iconography. The museum also contains a rich archival material with documents, film materials, books, and historical studies. Its collection includes folk costumes, traditional clothing, personal and everyday use items, weapons from different periods, as well as numerous works of figurative art with historical significance. The Fier Historical Museum is an institution that not only preserves, presents, and promotes objects of historical and scientific value but also promotes public and societal education through the organization of cultural activities.
