The Albanian infantry met the Ottoman cavalry in the gorge of Modrica (Southern Kosovo) and with a sudden and lightning strike smashed it. The part of the Ottoman army that escaped was met in the narrows of the valley by the Albanian cavalry. In the battle, the Ottomans left many dead. Their commander himself along with the staff were captured.
