Elezi Z., a painter, was born in Peshkopi. He studied and graduated from the Academy of Arts in Albania. Elezi Z. completed his high school studies at the “Jordan Misja” Artistic Lyceum in Tirana and pursued higher education in scenography at the Institute of Fine Arts. For several years, he worked as a scenic and costume painter at the Palace of Culture in his hometown, serving the Professional Theater of Peshkopi. Elezi Z. has participated in local and national exhibitions, primarily showcasing landscapes and portraits. In 1996, he moved to Tirana and opened his painting studio called “ZAYA.” Being a painter of nature, Elezi has depicted landscapes from almost all regions of Albania. His works capture the atmosphere of the Mediterranean sunlight, the airiness of the environment, and the perspectives he realizes with skilled impressionistic brushwork.
