Dom Jak Bushati, clergyman, martyr of the Catholic Church, was born in Shkod\u00ebr. Attended the Albanian Pontifical Seminary of Shkodra. He was ordained a priest in Shkod\u00ebr, on May 29, 1915. He was a parish priest in the province of Mirdita: Ndreffane and G\u00ebziq. From 1946, he was parish priest of Kallmet in Zadrima, where he stayed until the end. He was arrested in Kallmet and imprisoned in Lezh\u00eb in April 1949. He died in prison during torture in 1949. His body was removed from the Catholic cemetery of Shkodra to be exhibited in the Cathedral Church on the occasion of his glorification. (In the photo: Jak Bushati)<\/i> <\/p>\n
