At a young age and in deep poverty, Shote Galica, a fighter of the guerrilla bands, and the wife of Azem Galica, passed away. She is also known as Qerime Radisheva. She was born in Radishev\u00eb of Drenica in 1895. Shote married the leader of the guerrilla bands, Azem Galica, in 1915. She fought for 12 years side by side with her husband for the liberation of Kosovo from Serbian occupiers. She participated in more than 40 military actions. In 1919, she participated in the uprising of the Dukagjin Plain, while in the years 1922\u20131923, she fought to defend the Neutral Zone of Junik, which served as a base for the insurgents of Kosovo and Mal\u00ebsia. In July 1924, she participated in the defense of the free zone of Drenica. That same year, after the assassination of her husband, Azem Galica, she took over the leadership of the band and continued the fight against Serbian forces. Together with hundreds of fighters from Kosovo, in December 1924, she fought against Serbian and chetnik armies. At the end of the winter of 1926, she left Kosovo for Albania, where she settled in the village of Shullaz in Kruja. After the Second World War, the Albanian state declared her a Heroine of the People. <\/p>\n
