Finished the high school in Gjilan. He participated in the demonstrations of 1968. As a student at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Prishtina, he engaged in illegal political activity to establishestabdemandvforRepublic demand. Comnd publisher of the illegal organ \u201cZ\u00ebri I Kosov\u00ebs.\u201d On December 24, 1974, he was arrested and sentenced to 9 years in prison. He continued his illegal activity after his release from prison (1983). He was among the leaders of the Movement for the Republic of Albanians in Yugoslavia.
