The Battle of Marg\u00eblli\u00e7 resulted from partisan combat operations in the second stage of the Winter Operation, in 1943\u20131944. At the end of February and the beginning of March 1944, the partisan formations of the Third Mallakastra Group, framed in three battalions, launched the attack against the German forces, which had massacred the people and set fire to the province of Mallakastra. This battle, which lasted 3 days, 27\u201329 March 1944, ended with the elimination and retreat of the German forces in complete panic and heavy losses.
