Ndue Byty\u00e7i (1847\u20131917), poet of the beginnings of the National Renaissance, was born in Skopje. He served as a priest in his hometown, then in Pej\u00eb, Prizren and elsewhere, where he taught Albanian. He wrote poems that are permeated by the patriotic spirit. Some of his writings became known through the collection “Shahiri elierz” (\u201cHonest Singer\u201d, <\/i>1887) , but most of them remained in manuscript. Translated \u201cPsalmet e Davidit\u201d (\u201cThe Psalms of David\u201d)<\/i> into Albanian. (In the photo: Ndue Byty\u00e7i)<\/i> <\/p>\n
