The Prime Minister of Albania, Ahmet Zog, was wounded entering the parliament. The attempted attack was carried out by Beqir Valteri, a young man originally from the village of Vinjoll of Mat. The seat of the Assembly was transformed, albeit for a short time, into a shooting arena to capture the assailant, who managed to hide in an alcove of the building to protect himself. After this event, the opposition opposed the new government formed by Ahmet Zogu, elected by the Supreme Council as Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
