Married to Marije Vata in September 1944, the only son they had, whom they named Gasp\u00ebr, was born 6 months after his arrest and Qerim never saw him. He was arrested and imprisoned in Shkod\u00ebr, on December 3, 1945. He was sentenced to death on February 22, 1946.
