The theologian Dhimit\u00ebr Beduli (1914\u20131996), researcher of Byzantine culture, writer, and translator, passed away. He was born in Gjirokastra. In 1930, after finishing high school in Athens, he left for theological studies in Romania, which he completed in 1934. In addition to his theological studies, Beduli specialized in Byzantine music. As soon as he returned from Romania, in 1934, he worked as a teacher in Tirana. In 1945, Beduli started working in the Central Directorate of Offices in Durr\u00ebs and later, as chief planner in the Mechanical Plant, in Tirana. After the triumph of democracy, Beduli, now retired, was put in charge of the group for the revival of the church. Upon the arrival of Archbishop Anastas in Albania, Dhimit\u00ebr Beduli became his right-hand man. Beduli returned to teaching work at the Durr\u00ebs Seminary and publishing activity, being the main article writer of the newspaper “Ngjallja” (\u201cThe Revival\u201d)<\/i>.
