Thomas Woodrow Wilson and His Role in Defending Albania’s Integrity after World War I

American President Thomas Woodrow Wilson announced his 14-point plan, which reflected the United States’ intention for new international relations and for achieving lasting peace in Europe. The proposal called for: generous peace terms from the victorious Allies, the return of territories conquered during the war, the right of nations to self-determination, and the creation of a worldwide organization to resolve future conflicts. He became an obstacle to the dismemberment of Albania after the First World War. (In the photo: Thomas Woodrow Wilson)
