The first issue of the newspaper “Posta e Shqypëniës” (“The post of Albania”) (1916-1918), a political, social and cultural newspaper, was published in Shkodër. It was published in Albanian and German. It came out every Wednesday and Saturday. Director Gjergj Fishta was also the author of most of the editorial articles. The newspaper was subsidized by Austria-Hungary. 193 issues were published. (In the photo: The first issue of the newspaper “Posta e Shqypënis”, 1916.)
