Kujtim Meçaj, director and speaker at Albanian Radio Television, was born in Ramicë, Vlora. After graduating in 1966 from the High Institute of Arts, majoring in drama, he worked as a director at the House of Culture in Kavaja and then as an actor at the Elbasan Theater. In 1970-1971, he completed the general directing course at the High Institute of Arts, after which he was appointed to Albanian Radio and Television as a director. First, he directed various shows in the studio, then shot several TV dramas , such as “Mulliri i Kostë Bardhit” (“The Mill of Kostë Bardhi”) with the troupe of the Korça Theater. In 1977, he produced the first original artistic telefilm “Flamur ne Dallge” (“Flag in the Wave“). In 1984, he shot his last film in two series “Koha nuk Pret” (“Time does not wait“). After this film, he retired from creativity as a filmmaker to work as a speaker in the culture and news editorial office of “Tirana” radio. He passed away in 2021. (In the photo: Kujtim Meçaj)
