The first issue of the newspaper “Zër’ i popullit” (The People’s Voice) (1912-1913), a weekly, political and literary newspaper in the Albanian language and partly in English, was published. In its 14 issues, it presented and propagated the Albanian national issue; welcomed the Declaration of Independence of Albania and defended the political and economic reforms of the Government of Vlora.
