Koço Theodhosi (1913-1977), participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, high functionary of the Labor Party of Albania and the state, was shot. He was born in Korça and attended the National High School (French). After graduating from the vocational school of Liege (Belgium) in 1937, he studied industrial chemistry and graduated from the University of Lyon (1941). During his study years, he participated in the anti-fascist activities of Albanian students in France. In 1941, he joined the National Liberation Anti-Fascist Movement; became a member of the Albanian Communist Party since its foundation; participated in the conferences that were held during the war years in Peza and Labinot; was a delegate of Korça in the Congress of Permet. On November 9, 1944, he was appointed commissar for oil in Kuçovo, where he remained until 1946 and helped to restore the oil industry destroyed by the war. Then he was appointed to other positions with responsibility: vice-minister of World Affairs (1946–1947), vice-president of the State Plan Commission (1947–1949), representative of Albania in the Commission of Mutual Economic Assistance in Moscow (1949 -1950), president of the State Plan Commission (1950–1962), deputy prime minister (1962–1966), minister of Mining Industry (1966–1975). He was elected a member of the Central Committee of the Albanian Labor Party (1952) and a candidate and member of the Political Bureau (1956, 1966). Koço Theodhosi has contributed to the rise and development of the economy, especially industry and mining. He has been a deputy of the People’s Assembly in all legislatures since 1950. In the VII Plenum of the Central Committee of the Labor Party of Albania (May 1975), in the context of the attacks against the so-called hostile groups in the party , his activity was described as sabotaging; as a result, he was dismissed from his duties, expelled from the party, exiled as a family to Kurbnesh, where he was then arrested and accused of being a member of a hostile group in the economy. He was sentenced to death and shot.
