Teme Sejko, a counter admiral, was executed. He was born in Konispol. Completed his secondary education in Gjirokastër, Shkodër, and Tirana. In Tirana, he became involved in anti-fascist activities in 1941. Later, he went to Konispol, where he worked on forming the partisan group “Çamëria” and was appointed as the group’s youth leader in 1943. With the formation of Brigade I, he was appointed company commissioner in 1943, later battalion commissioner, member of the political section of the brigade; deputy commissioner of the XVIII Assault Brigade (October 1944); later responsible for the political section of the II Assault Division, chief of the People’s Defense Directorate, with the rank of major (December 1944). He pursued higher education at the Military Academy “Frunze” in Moscow (1945–1948); appointed chief of the Division Staff (December 1948), Division Commander (May 1949), director of the Intelligence Directorate at the Ministry of Defense (September 1949–1955). In the years 1955–1957, he headed the Voroshilov General Staff Academy in Moscow. In January 1958, he was appointed commander of the Naval Warfare Fleet and graduated as a counter admiral. He was a member of the People’s Assembly (1950–1954). On July 28, 1960, he was arrested, and on May 15, 1961, he was accused by a military court as an agent of foreign intelligence services and sentenced to death.
