Thousands of people marched towards “Skënderbej” square and overthrew the statue of Enver Hoxha, without encountering resistance from the police. A part of it even joined the demonstrators. A few days after the fall of the statue, the government issued the decision to divide “Enver Hoxha” University into two universities, with the names: “University of Tirana” and Polytechnic University”. Such events also took place in the main cities of the country, such as: Korçë, Vlorë, Durrës and Gjirokastër. (In the photo: The moment of the collapse of the Enver Hoxha monument.)
